Why We Exist

We exist to point people to Jesus, and to do it in a way that feels real.

We've been a Church of God family in Mobile for 75 years. What started in 1951 as Spring Hill Church of God has grown into a multi-generational, multi-cultural church family that still believes the same simple thing: the gospel changes everything.

We're not trying to be trendy. We're trying to be faithful.

That means real preaching from a real Bible, Spirit-led worship, and a community where you actually know the person sitting next to you.

What We Do

Every week, we gather to do a few simple things well. We worship together in a way that's authentic, not performative. We open the Bible and preach it honestly, straight from Scripture. We love our neighbors by serving Mobile through outreach and hospitality.

We raise up the next generation through our Kids and Youth Ministry, and we grow together in Life Groups around real tables. And above all, we make room for people to belong, because church should feel like church: real preaching, real worship, real community.

Our team is led by Pastor Ken, who pastors with the heart of a shepherd and the backbone of a preacher. Alongside him is a staff who love this church, love this city, and love the people God brings through our doors.

Statement of Faith

We believe…

  1. In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
  2. In one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
  3. That Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified, buried, and raised from the dead; that He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor.
  4. That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that repentance is commanded of God for all and is necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
  5. That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
  6. In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ, through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
  7. Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.
  8. In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.
  9. In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost.
  10. In water baptism by immersion; all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
  11. Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
  12. In the Lord's Supper and the washing of the saints' feet.
  13. In the premillennial second coming of Jesus, first to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air; second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
  14. In the bodily resurrection: eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
